Hey. Hi. Hello! I'm Katie, an art director / creative director who writes. I'm an alum of Wieden + Kennedy, Droga5, Brandcenter and *theater camp.* I enjoy creating entertaining / smart / stupid work for global brands. My projects have gotten some nice recognition including a shout out from Pee Wee Herman 💔.
As a side quest, my husband and I run Welsbro Watch Company. Hodinkee Magazine named us "One to Watch." Some v cool people like Unknown Mortal Orchestra and the cast and crew of Netflix's Ozark have worn our watches. And we got written up in the Staten Island Advance once.
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia— where I first discovered the dark arts of musical theater. I spent much of my pre-advertising life trying to use my diaphragm and training at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in improv. Most formative years of my life.
We live on the east side of Los Angeles with a boxer named Frankie. <3
